Answer by AutoToys Staff A: The DCR300 is a conversion cradle. This is for ipod cables which were BEFORE 2010 or so, when it was firewire charging. If your NEW ipod cable uses USB charging, you can use the DCR50 -(this is if it already charges ipod 4gs and iphone 4gs with a charge signal on the iphone)
