* Compatible with REF, REC, RAK & RAQ model radios. The model number is indicated on the face of the radio.
* If the vehicle is equipped with both satellite radio and rear seat entertainment (RSE), one of these devices will have to be disconnected.
* If the vehicle is equipped with a single disc CD player (Model: REF) that also has satellite radio, the satellite radio will have to be disconnected. The REF model radio does not support RSE therefore you do not have the option of emulating it.

The AAI-CHY will emulate the factory VES by default.
1. If the vehicle has both Satellite and VES, one of the devices will have to be disconnected in order for the AAI-CHY to work. The AAI-CHY will then emulate which ever device that is disconnected.
2. If you are using a single disc radio (REF model), the factory Satellite (if available) must be disconnected. This radio has no option for VES, therefore the AAI-CHY can not emulate it.
The factory VES or Satellite are completly disabled if the AAI-CHY emulates it. DVD's and/or headphones can not be used.
Currently the AAI-CHY will only work with vehicles without Factory Satellite Receiver installed.

Question: When AAI-CHY emulates the factory VES system only. When ever the vehicle's key is turned off, the radio displays 'DVD Power Off' and no sound is heard even though the radio is still on. It then goes to AM/FM or CD within a few seconds.
Answer: This is a feature of the factory radio. We believe Chrysler did this to prevent battery drain issues while parked listening to the radio.
