This unit will allow you to wire in an aftermarket radio to any vehicle with an ONSTAR system. Unlike other systems which require additional amplifiers and/or speakes, this is a smart switching device. Comes in 21 pin configuration (plug and play for most vehicles). It comes with an internal amplifier, it will switch on the front factory speakers for onstar or if you want, you can wire a separate speaker to the output of this device especially for ONSTAR output.


The OS-1 incorporates a microcontroller that communicates directly with OnStar's serial data protocol to prevent false triggering thus eliminating unwanted audio noise through speakers. Onboard amplifier will drive two, 4 ohm speakers in stereo. Use with existing speakers in front doors or use external/separate speakers. 12 volt remote out to turn on factory amplifier and mute wire to attenuate the aftermarket stereo. LED indicator and volume control.


****The OS-1will not work with OnStar® equipped vehicles that have factory radios with RDS. Factory radio's with RDS can be indentified by locating an RDS logo on the front face of the factory radio.

This unit will work with all NON BOSE radios that use 21 pin / 9 pin connectors and do not have the RDS option. (currently not working in late 2002 large SUVs)
