The ignition power source of every GM vehicle keeps the radio on until the front driver door is opened. This digital interface is designed to retain this feature. Red wire goes to accessory wire of aftermarket radio, yellow wire provides constant power, black wire provides ground. This unit has an internal speaker and it should be mounted in a location where it can be heard. Speaker outputs of aftermarket radio should match the EIA codes of this interface.
