Output Resolution (480i/480p/720p/1080i)
The DST3100 supports all of the most popular scanning formats including 480i,480p, 720p, and 1080i. Users may choose to have the receiver convert all video to asingle user-selected scanning format. HD/SD Simultaneous Output

DIRECTV Advanced Program Guide
Multiple signal types are merged into a single on-screen program guide. This eliminates the need to switch between television inputs to select stations from delivered from different sources. One program grid appears on screen that includes cable or off-air stations in addition to DIRECTV and DIRECTV HD stations.
Aspect Ratio Control (Full/Cropped/Side Panels)
in 4:3 and 16:9 Customize the picture shape to your TV by selecting the 16:9 or 4:3 display formats. Next choose between Full, Cropped, and Letterbox (side panels) image display to maximize the shape of the various programs being received.
User Profile Control
The DST3100 supports multiple user profiles, including unique channel lists, ratings limits, default guides, closed caption modes, and even color schemes each individually tailored for different users.
IR/RF Universal Remote Control
The DST3100 comes with a remote that can be used to control the receiver from different areas in the home. A radio frequency remote control option allows operation within or out of line of sight of the unit. You can also use the remote to control other components in the system, including the television, from other brands.
