PURPOSE

• This product plugs into your car's prewired cd changer port and gives you 2 audio leads in (left and right channel via 2 rca plugs)
• By using your factory changer port as an aux in, it gives you direct sound without the clutter/hiss/cables/bad frequency response of an FM MODULATOR or CASSETTE adapter.
• Another advantage of using the factory port is that you can very simply switch between FM TUNER, CASSETTE and your CHANGER MODE (AUX IN).
• This product gives audio IN only.

Requirements:

• **FIBER OPTIC ONLY
• **requires separate power and ground, instructions included for connection points
• **If FIBER OPTIC Amplifier, hands free kit, cellular phone, etc is installed, it must go INLINE the D2B ring.
  In vehicles equipped with these optionally accessories, a D2B COUPLER is required (not included)
• ***Plugs into fiber optic port behind radio in non D2B ring configurations. Features 2 RCA inputs directly (perfect for portable MP3 players, Satellite radio, etc)
• ****FACTORY prewired unused changer cables can be modified for fit into this adapter, also requires power, ground and ignition which can usually also be found in a 3 pin plug close to any prewired unused changer cable.
  
  

 

• Requires a free cd changer port at the HEAD UNIT (behind radio)
• If you have a CD changer connected or an in dash cd changer from the factory which uses the CD changer port, this adapter will not work.
• This adapter takes sound directly (stereo) via 2 RCA jacks and feeds it directly into the car stereo (just switch to CD changer mode - See factory manual) and voila, direct input sound.
• Great for XM radio connections, MP3 players, in car entertainment video feeds, etc.

• Note: This product requires an open factory cd changer port. Internal changers (built into the radio does not use the port). SAT options, etc will use the port. Once the aux adapter is plugged in, it should remain plugged in until you decide to discontinue using the product and return to full time use of your external changer or sat option.

Some converters are trunk located, you may want to consider picking up a rca cable with a length of at least 12 feet to complete your install. For converters which wire at the 'front', removal tools may be required to remove radio (European cars and Fords), see our DASH KIT department under REMOVAL TOOLS for any extra parts you may need. Volume Performance of source will vary with different types of products (some inexpensive portable players have very weak headphone amplification circuits). This product will not work in any years/applications other than what is listed or not work in situations where it is listed as incompatible, it is the buyers responsibility to confirm the correct product for application before purchase.
