I have just bought a Gateway Five CAN BAP product but I have no Phone menu on my cluster display. What should I do in order to have phone information on my cluster display?
Answer: In case of CAN BAP based system (VW) the phone menu is disabled by default on the cluster menu in most cases (except if the car has a factory phone option) therefore it has to be coded before or after the Gateway Five installation.
Coding procedure is as follows:
Using an VW VAS factory diagnostics system:
Select ‘Autodiagnose’ option
Code or Activate function “77” (phone)
Save settings
Using an Autologic: (aftermarket diagnostics system)
Select ‘Body’
Select ‘Miscellaneous’
Select ‘19 – Diagnostic interface for data-bus’
Select ‘Gateway Coding’
Set ‘Telephone’ to coded
Using a VAG COM (aftermarket diagnostics system)
