The Mobile Hotspot
Wi Drive takes the concept of 3G internet access to the next level. With a Wi Drive in your car, you just connect your 3G phone or mobile broadband USB stick to it and the whole of the car becomes a wireless internet hotspot. Your network is password protected so it’s there for you and your passengers only. No need to take turns or pass the USB around, everyone in the vehicle now has internet access. Passengers can deal with important emails and thanks to Wi Drive, the really important passengers in the back need never be away from their MSN or on line gaming.

The Mobile Server
Wi Drive turns your car into a discoverable device on your home or office wireless network. Even with the car parked and switched off, the Wi Drive unit wakes up periodically and connects wirelessly to the identified network (the built in battery manager will ensure that Wi Drive does not drain your vehicles battery). The user can set the network so that the when it does this, the computer and the Wi Drive will automatically synchronize the music collection between the computer and the storage device plugged into the Wi Drive. Every new piece of music or podcast that is downloaded or grabbed in, is automatically shared with the car.

Wi Drive comes with a simple to use set up wizard for your home computer. Insert a USB stick into the Wi Drive, switch it on for a moment, and then insert the same stick in to your PC. From there it’s wireless all the way and in five easy steps, you can install the required software and synchronize your home and music collection.

Wi Drive users are not restricted to the home network, nor to just one car. At the office, if you have colleagues who have also installed Wi Drive, all of the cars can be linked to a network and then content can be shared and exchanged without any need to take anything out of the vehicles.

The World at your Fingertips: Internet Radio
With Wi Drive fitted in your car, the potential applications are almost limitless. The world of radio broadcasting has been revolutionised by the internet, with almost every station in the world, available anywhere in the world. By copying the access codes for the stations you would like to listen to on to your Wi Drive and using your 3G connection, they are now all available in your car as well.
