Answer by AutoToys Staff A: Trunk cable wires at the prewired cd changer cables (a 3 and 6 pin cable) in all BMWS. The FRONT cable, wires behind the HEAD unit. Some people find that this is better, but you need to remove the radio from the dashboard to wire it in. Some people like wiring at the trunk because it simply plugs in, locate cable, plug it in. If wiring in the trunk, we recommend you buy the longer ipod cable as an option from the drop down menu.
