Answered by AutoToys Staff A: Trunk cable wires at the prewired cd changer cables (a 3 and 6 pin cable) in all BMWS. The FRONT cable, wires behind the HEAD unit. Some people find that this is better, but you need to remove the radio from the dashboard to wire it in. Some people like wiring at the trunk because it simply plugs in, locate cable, plug it in. If wiring in the trunk, we recommend you buy the longer ipod cable as an option from the drop down menu.
Answered by AutoToys Staff A: As long as your radio does not have "DSP", you can plug this in at the original cd changer location (pick TRUNK MOUNT CABLE), and disconnect the original cd changer.
