Answer by AutoToys Staff A: Turn your volume to max on your radio you listen to, turn the dials GENTLY to max on the adapter (with a small screwdriver), DO NOT OVERTURN and damage the device. Once you hear distortion in music, turn the dial back a little bit and then leave it that way.

The ISCH73 is a plug-and-play iPod and auxiliary audio input interface for late model Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep vehicles. It is compatible with all docking iPods. Using either the iPod clickwheel or factory radio or steering wheel controls (if equipped), customers can track forward and back for songs as well as rewind and fast-forward them. And because the ISCH73 connects directly to the radio, it maintains the original digital-quality sound.
The ISCH73 also comes with both an RCA jack and +12 volt output to add an auxiliary input. So customers can choose to select either their iPod or auxiliary input device to play through their factory radio. When selected through the radio, the iPod pauses and plays automatically.

If the vehicle is equipped with a rear seat entertainment system (RSE), it must be disconnected. The audio from the RSE will no longer play through the factory radio*, but the video and wireless headphones will still function normally. *If you are an experienced installer you can retain the RSE audio, please see the Tech Brief section below.
RSE does NOT operate in retained accessory power (RAP) mode. The radio will automatically switch from the ISCH73 to tuner mode during RAP.
