This unit allows you to feed a video source such as a backup camera (we sell backup cameras in our CAR VIDEO department or click here) or a video source such as a dvd player when the car is parked. You will view your navigation screen as normally, to switch to the video source you press the NAV button on our included free membrane keypad or optionally you can feed a ground signal into the unit to switch to video). This unit also has a reverse bulb lead (+ POSITIVE) when it receives a + trigger from your reverse bulb, it will AUTOMATICALLY switch your NAV to the VIDEO camera input of the unit. Once you come OUT of reverse, it will switch back to nav. This is all automatic. For video dvd uses, check local laws before ordering and a separate handbrake connection is required which allows you to view dvd only with the hand or parking brake on. Multiple video inputs allows a dedicated video input and a separate camera input.
--- OUR UNIT IS BETTER BECAUSE
- It switches to CAMERA automatically when you hook up the reverse bulb (+ POSITIVE) wire to your navigation. PUT IT IN REVERSE and it switches your nav to the backup camera screen, nothing to press
- Plug and play harnesses included*
*separate power and ground connections required
Allows direct input of RCA dvd/tv tuner (not included) into factory navigation screen
Note: There is a parking brake wire which needs to be connected which will make the unit operate only when the parking brake is on and the car is parked.
Please note: This unit is ONLY a VIDEO SWITCHING unit and does not feed sound into your factory navigation system. If you need help selecting an AUXILIARY input device to feed the SOUND into the car speakers, see our OEM DEPARTMENT HERE or email us.
We also recommend a HONDA AUX Adapter to feed the sound in, SEE RELATED ACCESSORIES.
90 day warranty on manuacturing defects only, does not include if you burn the unit out if you hook up the wrong wires or hook it up at the WRONG location or non manufacturing defects.
