This device allows you to RETAIN the use of the OEM ford lincoln mercury CAN BUS DVD player when replacing the factory radio with an aftermarket radio. In these vehicles, the factory DvD player will not turn on and or some DVD control functions are lost when the factory radio is removed. The FRD04-DVD provides the factory DVD with the necessary information that is normally provided by the factory radio in order to maintain its use and control functions.
Using the FRD04 DVD the audio signal from the factory dvd is provided through a set of RCA connectors for applications where the aftrmarkt radio being installed has an available auxiliary input port. The FRD04DVD also features built in audio adjustment circuitry with an output level of up to 2 volts RMS, allowing the installer to match the audio level of the factory dvd to the audio level of the AM/FM/CD mode of the aftermarket radio
