Side marker signal lights. Commonly found on European vehicles, use it fo low wattage parking lights or for side turn signal verification. On european cars that come with side marker lights, the person in your blind spot usually cannot see your blinker (towards front and rear) and the side marker usually mounted on the side fender location gives clear indication that you are about to change lanes.
