BMW NEW CHANGERS COMPATIBILITY
Our store has completed close to a hundred or more BMW compatible changers in the
last few weeks alone for 1997-2000 BMW 3 and 5 series vehicles. We have a "0.5%" return rate on these changers or converters because of defective converters or changers. We had one or 2 isolated instances of defective changers which were quickly exchanged for "NEW" sealed changers. The converter carries a limited lifetime warranty from the manufacturer. The product is proven and reliable. The only time when a changer will not work is when the customer chose not to read the
description of the product correctly. It specifically states the changer is not compatible with vehicles with COAX AUDIO connections, not compatible with vehicles with DSP (digital sound processing), and of the PREM sound systems or cars with Navigation. So please, read the instructions carefully because the sale of the changer is final and we list the vehicles which are not compatible in the product description for a reason!
There is no possible way for 'us' to know which model of radio your car is equipped with.If there are problems with your changer package, we will REPLACE all converters with new ones (WE WILL NOT REPAIR CONVERTERS) and we will also test the changer to make sure it is functioning properly. If the changer is found to be defective, we will
repair it if we have a changer available, but in most instances since it is rare that it fails, we will replace it if it is within the first 14 days of purchase. NO REFUNDS will be given, however, if the changer or converter does not work properly in your car, we WILL replace the defective parts. We stand by the products. By replacing the converter and testing the changer (when needed), it will ELIMINATE ALL
POSSIBLE TRACES of defects to our parts. Email us. using Pioneer based 6 disc CDX 630
It has come to our attention that some of the CDXP630 changers that we are shipping with the new BMW OEM COMPATIBLE package has some missing mounting holes on the brackets. We chose the 630 changer over the
650 changer because it is less expensive in cost and the extra features of the 650 (such as CD text, etc) is not supported with your OEM compatible package, the simplier the better is our experience.
The CDX 630 changer will accept a horiztonal mounting via top of bottom mount. We recommend mounting this changer to the top of your hat deck or horizontally in your trunk. In some examples, the changer may fit in the factory cubby 6 disc hole. We do not recommend using the brackets that
come with the changer. It is much easier to mount the changer using extra heavy duty 2 sided velcro in the factory 6 disc holder if it fits.Remember, whether you choose a horizontal or vertical mount, you must adjust the suspension settings on the changer. Also, it has come to our attention that some of the inner 4 holes may not have been drilled on the mounting brackets. The inner 4 holes are for veritical mounting, if you must use the brackets, simply drill a 1/8th inch hole
to the right of the bottom left hole to use the bracket. The bracket secures with only 2 screws mounting diagonally across from each other, use the screws supplied.

MOUNTING TIPS FROM ONE OF OUR CUSTOMERS I drilled 1 hole on the top side of the right mounting bracket so it wouldline up with the 2 factory installed mounting bolts. The converter is just screwed into the liner. It can me mounted anywhere. The player plays great
all functions except for random play work fine. Hasn't skipped yet. Great value for the buck compared to BMW oem.
If you bought your changer from us, let your friends and
clubmates know about it. |
