Introduction: Products:
TO REMOVE RADIO REMOVE HUSH PANEL UNDER DRIVER SIDE, 3 phillips head screws, carefully pull hush panel forward, disconnect power mirror plug (BE VERY VERY CAREFUL WHEN DOING THIS--VERY CAREFUL, support the bezel with your fingers when removing plug otherwise damage may occur), open glove box, remove screws left side of dash holding bezel, remove screws on driver side holding bezel, remove 2 screws from both sides of bezel, remove radio trim housing (thats it) To reconnect the domelight to install a aftermarket radio and a security system at the same time, connect the green/black (at corner) wire to the light green wire with red strip at the plugs in back of the radio. We have a MUTIL DISC CD player - Contact us via EMAIL or visit the OEM department in our storefront.
NEW NOTES REGARDING CIVIC INSTALLATION From: jensen@traverse.com To: sales@autotoys.com
Thought I would drop you a line regarding the 96 Civic. If you have a customer with keyless entery you can stash the radio behind the plastic pice (under the ashtray) that needs to be removed to get the radio out. Once you have it fit in there wire the sw, constant and ground then plug in the security plug. wala......keyless and alarm works. It is a real trick to get the radio to fit behind there but it can be done (it alsohelps if you remove the face of the radio, a simple couple of screws andunplug a ribbon cable.)
