Introduction: Products:
1. Remove radio, we provide tech sheets with step by step instructions on how to remove the dash (if available)
Next, mount the changer. The changers we sell come with brackets and bolts. In this installation by Sound Conceptions, the customer decided to remove the tray underneath the passenger front seat. We removed the tray, then removed the seat and bolted the changer into place and out of view. While the seat was apart, we also ran the wires underneath the carpet to the front of the vehicle. Note: When drilling into the vehicle, be sure to check for brake lines and other onstructions underneath the vehicle where you are bolting the changer down first, when in doubt, see the help of qualified professional installer.
The final step was to mount the display. Since the quest has a lot of round corners, we had a tough time finding a suitable spot. However, we did find a spot(shown above) that is easily accessible and looks uniform in the vehicle without getting in the way of any trays, ashtrays or cabinets. Thats it! Its that simple. Shown in this installation was a Pioneer 1237 12 disc RF changer with wireless remote control & Disc title memory.
