Introduction: Products:
A XRC 550, XRC 7200 and a CDX 715 will be similiar in the vehicle
This is the finished product, ISO din flush mounted into the vehicle.
Shown above is a SONY CDX 805 changer mounting on the top trunk of the Camry using supplied brackets
Shown above is where you would have to remove the 10mm bolts to remove the factory radio and supports. To remove the trim around the radio prior to getting to this point, you have to pull from the bottom and pull the entire black trim surrounding the radio outward (there are no screws, the entire dash is held in by snaps) Be careful. You can see where the snaps hold the trim in place, they are the vertical rectangular holes located to the left and right of the radio.
Show above and highlighted by us with red dots is where we bolted in the new Sony radio into the factory brackets. Most radios sold by us will ISO-DIN mount into factory brackets in most late model Toyotas and Nissans. The factory pocket is retained. We also used a plug in wire harness (which autotoys.com stocks for immediate delivery with your order) which plugged into the factory wires. There was a factory amplifier in the vehicle which we effectively bypassed, it was located to the right of the factory radio, all you have to do is unplug the plugs from the amplifier and take it out of the loop. Our plug in harness will then plug into the harness that comes out of the loop, effectively giving you a PLUG AND PLAY installation. After bolting the radio into the factory brackets, bolt the radio back into place for a nice secure fit. Note the UNILINK and RCA changer signal cables have already been plugged into the back of the radio. This entire installation took under 1 hour including the radio R&R and changer installation. The owner of the vehicle noticed a immediate improvement in bass response from the new deck! Thats it! - With AUTOTOYS.COM, your first or next upgrade could be as simple!
