If you haven't seen a Nitro Remote Car, these cars are capable of speeds up to 40 mph right out of the box, with a 2 speed transmission, it is well capable of over 50mph. A good place to start is to pick up a copy of REMOTE CONTROL CAR ACTION magazine.

In this article, we will address LED lights. There are many options available to RC car hobbyist, however, they are VERY pricey. Our solutions cost many times less than what is available now.

We offer real strobe lights!!, neon cables (some in 5 and 10 foot lengths), more colors, led scanners, neon highlight kits and much more. All of these products will run for MANY hours off a 9 volt battery. The products you see in our MINI AUTOTOYS department has been tested and found compatible with a 9 volt battery.

The products located in MINI AUTOTOYS department (shop now) can also be placed on mobile products like bicycles for safety, scooters, mopeds, skateboards, etc. We'll leave it up to your imagination!

This is how we mounted our LEDs. The LEDS from our MINI AUTOTOYS department comes with holders, drill and hole and snap it in place. We hit it with some CA to keep it in place. We then twisted the battery connection wire and then put heatshrink rubing on all of the wires to keep it neat (heat shrink available in MINI NITRO department). On some parts, we applied some CA to keep it down while other areas were held down with some tape.autotoys.com is the only company that can answer your questions about this installation.

This is our full install with our 629 SCANNER LIGHT (see MINI AUTOTOYS) activing as the third brake light. We set it up to flash randomly and it looks great! See how neat the wires are with the heatshrink

The LEDS sold in our MINI AUTOTOYS department (click on shop now) are already 9volt-12 volt ready. You can hook it up directly to a 9 volt battery. However, if you want to remove the bulky circuit resistor pack, you can, just use a 300 ohm or so resistor, shown here.

We used the BLUE FUSION LEDs which gives our Porsche HPI 200mm body a HID XENON look. IT IS VERY BRIGHT!!!!

How bright? Well, with dim lights and the car sitting on the floor, the LEDS light up the white ceiling about 8 feet above it!!! NO JOKE!

This is an unaltered shot of the LED light on the Porsche. It was mounted in the center of the eye of the HPI headlight sticker.

How bright is it? Well, bright enough to shine up on the wall and light this up! This photo is not retouched!

Shown in this picture is the rear brake light doing some random flashes! It is mounted where the factory brake light would be on the Porsche body and it does not interfere with the heatsink of the engine. Double sided tape comes with it and it is 9 volt battery compatible out of the box.

Shown is our Heatsink. WHY USE REGULAR wire ties? Use our wire ties with loops!! SHOWN HERE which will definitely protect your heatsink when it rolls without a body!

This car can easily be seen for nighttime running or for show use. The LEDS shown on this car and in our MINI AUTOTOYS department uses GATRUUM gas and is about 4-10 times brighter than conventional LEDS. Each LED we sell comes with a power converter which will take a 9volt-13 volt signal and convert it into something the LEDS can use. It is already prewired, all you need to do is connect it to the battery.

Compared to flasher LEDS which can be found sold in supermarkets, drugs stores, etc (halloween safety flashers, etc), these LEDS AT LEAST 10 times as bright.

Since each LED comes with it's own power supply, RED LEDS were used for the rear. The rear brake lights flash randomly in the back and they create a visual flashing effect at the rear of the car.

Each LED also comes with HOLDERS, just drill a hole, insert the holder, it will lock into place and then the LED will LOCK into the holder. IT IS THAT EASY!!!

This is our 9 volt battery connector lead which we optionally sell, just connect the red and black wires to the positive and negative leads of the LEDs and it will light up!

Here is a picture of our AUTOTOYS.COM boy logo, if you want to create the same effect, search under DECAL, buy our 6x6 decal, stick it on the underside of your car, spray paint, remove decal. All the detail will remain including alarm transmitter, shoelaces, etc.
