In this edition, we will highlight how to install a WAGG 3 piece brush guard on a Mercedes ML truck. Many people have expressed that even the ‘factory bar’ does not line up correctly and should be left to professionals. Others have commented that aftermarket bars do not fit correctly, were hard to install or had some other opinion which we are going to prove to be false.
Other people have commented that a 3 piece bar is inferior to a one piece design. Not true.
A 3 piece design is not hard to assemble (we will show you that) and is UPS shippable. This means that we will not have to send your bar via a FREIGHT truck to your RESIDENTIAL address. Remember, when we send products via FREIGHT truck to residential addresses, the trucking company charges more money and will cost you a fair amount of money for shipping.

Remove this grill part,it simply snaps out. PIECE OF CAKE! |

Remove the factory bolt shown (10mm), install new rods using factory 10mm bolt into place, rods point to the outside of vehicle. |

Reinstall plastic honeycomb grill. Because the way the grill is designed, the rod comes right through and you can still stick in a 10mm socket to adjust bolt inside. Hows that for planning? |

Install
stop for bar, your center piece top will hang and rest on
these 2 bolts.
Hand tighten and adjust for now, you can always adjust it later. |

Hang center piece of bar. Secure bottom mounts onto center grill using the 3 bolts supplied (EASY!! No guess work and it fit PERFECTLY! - Gasket included between mount and center grill) |

Nothing was left to guesswork. The passenger side mount bolts onto the factory frame perfectly. The driver side also bolts onto the frame perfectly. Here is a picture of the driver side. See that long rod on top? Thats attached to a nut so when you socket down the bolt from the bottom on up, you will have a handle on the top bolt. NO GUESSWORK, it is 1-2-3 |

Next,
fasten headlight protectors onto bar. The middle bars are
removable. A few bolts and you are done. VERY EASY.
Told you a 3 piece bar is easy to assemble. Don’t believe the hype.
Align fit, tighten all your bolts. You are done. We did this whole job in under 30 minutes. |

The
WAAG bar comes with predrilled holes to bolt on foglight kits
(SEE OUR FOGLIGHT DEPARTMENT), we test fitted a couple of
lights to show how they would look to demonstrate all some
styles you may choose.
