Mercedes ML 2000 CD CHANGER

Time for another AUTOTOYS.COM installation.

The 8 disc changer for 1998 ML vehicles was a great bargain for many of our ML friends. We had a 320 in our fleet of vehicles. However - Mecedes Benz changed some of the software and the design of their radio in 1999.5 and 2000 to a 4 inch display.

Recently, we had a 2000 ML vehicle available to us, so we did some testing. We were able to make our old 8 disc package (TYPE I AND II) work, but it had some minor glitches.

We then found a fix and repackaged our fix as TYPE III (1999 or 2000 vehicles with 4 inch displays)

This changer package is IN STOCK NOW for immediate sale.

Our Type III 8 disc changer package is a PLUG AND PLAY changer for your ML 320 or 430 with a 4 inch display, our test vehicle had a BOSE system.

Note: Your vehicle must have a MOLEX plug in the changer compartment! Our new package worked flawlessly, we were able to directly access the disc using the keypads, all of the random, intro and shuffle functions worked. We were able to pause the CD and continue play.

If you buy it with our brackets, it will bolt right into the factory holes. Note: You 'may' be able to access the jack, but you can gain access to the jack easily by removing 2 bolts with a socket if you use a bolt or with a philips head screwdriver if you use screws. Since you rarely need to access the jack, this is not a big deal and most trucks come with tool kits anyway right?

Access disc through keypad. Yes, it works

You will need a set of bolts and nuts to bolt in the brackets. A total of 3 is needed (not included) - optional angled mount brackets sold separately.

It will look something like this and is available at ANY hardware store. We recommend something in the 10mm size.
