BACK TO DIY 2000 TECH SUMMARY

Introduction:
This is an autotoys.com installation. One of several hundred by the staff of autotoys.com
This article is a sample of knowledge gained by working on real cars for over 25 years.
Online for over 17+ years, when you buy a product from us, we give you real support when you need it.
Instant access to answers through our customer forums. With thousands of customers, avoid delays, errors and miscalculations in your installation.. buy from autotoys.com - your outlet for car audio, car alarms and auto accessories.

Products:
If you have an interest in any of the products in this article, everything featured (electrical tape, connectors, radio, alarm, wire ties, rca cables, diodes, screws --- everything is available 'now' (FOR SALE!) through our storefront). Remember, there may be many manufacturers out there who sell similar products as the ones featured in our articles, but if you want a problem-free smooth professional install, your only guarantee is to buy the same parts we use (see our storefront). Any slight difference in any of the parts and your install is ruined (plus you won't have access to our post sale support or forums). Especially important for alarm, radio and OEM changer products.

Sales People (be careful!):
Everyday, we get dozens of requests through our chat & ticket support system, request for forum passwords, questions on installation problems or questions. We can only focus on questions from our customers. The questions are simple.. the answers are simple - but these people, because they did not buy from AUTOTOYS.COM cannot get an answer. Dont make a mistake by buying through auctions, fly by night operations or new pop up websites who are just a voice over the phone (a sales person) with absolutely NO EXPERIENCE.

No experience installing in cars, no experience what-so-ever! They barely know the products they sell! Don't make that mistake! Make sure your purchase is from autotoys.com. These articles are proof we know what we are doing and that we WORK IN CARS! We work on the newest cars with the newest products.

NISSAN MAXIMA OEM ADD ON ALARM TO PREVENT HID HEADLIGHT THEFT

OEM ADD ON ALARM TO FACTORY KEYLESS
in

NISSAN MAXIMA

by

AUTOTOYS.COM

Did you know that it takes less than 5 minutes to steal the HID headlights from your NISSAN MAXIMA and there is nothing your factory security system can do to prevent it. Because of the way the 2001+ Nissan Maxima vehicles are designed, you can open the hood from the outside of the car without even getting inside the car or breaking a window, EASILY and quietly. You can unbolt the headlights with HID from the car within 2 minutes, no noise and the factory security system can be defeated within 10 seconds. YES THAT FAST!

TOTAL TIME TO STEAL YOUR HEADLIGHTS: 5 MINUTES (ESTIMATED)
TOTAL COST TO REPLACE PARTS: $4,500
TOTAL TIME TO REPLACE PARTS: 3 DAYS
TOTAL AMOUNT OF MAXIMAS HIT IN THIS AREA IN ONE WEEK: 4
INSURANCE DEDUCTIBLE ON THIS CAR: $1500

THIS INSTALL COST: ROUGHLY AROUND $150.00, about 1 hr install with our tech article. Stealing complete factory HID housings is so common now that all cars are getting hit including luxury cars like Audi S4s, All Acura TLs/Cls. Basically any car that has a poor headlight design which is easily removed with the factory hid bulbs and ballasts are targets. But this car is especially vunerable because of the combination of location of certain components and also how the factory alarm is wired.

Remember, all factory alarms are basic systems. They do not really protect your car. They rarely offer any impact resistance, usually sound a horn which is weak and more importantly, they are 'ALWAYS ALWAYS WIRED" in the same place. If you have a shop manual or a junked car, you can easily figure out how to bypass any factory alarm within seconds!

Our add on security system will turn on by itself, it will protect all doors, trunk, hood, you can add sensors (radars, glass sensors), add a shock/impact sensor, give you another starter kill, give you a real siren chirp on arm and disarm, will tell you by chirping if you leave a door or trunk open when you arm the alarm, give you a led that flashes (thieves will know you have an aftermarket system and will skip your car and move onto the guy with just a factory alarm) and much much more!!!!! Dont get brainwashed by car dealers, your factory system is less than sophisticated. Protect your car now!!!!!!!!!
