LEXUS GS400 Momo Shift Knob and Whistler Remote mount Radar - Laser Detector

This is another article on the Lexus GS400.

In this article, we show you how to replace the factory shift knob with something with a little more style (something different from everyone else).

We changed it with the LEATHER SPHERE shift knob from Momo.

While we were in the car, we installed a Whistler 3300 Custom Mount Remote Radar detector (X, K, Ka, Laser) with temperature sensor, voltage meter, city/highway modes. Since it is a custom mount radar detector, it can be mounted anywhere in the vehicle.

Also shown is a PANAVISE GS400 Cell Phone mount. Can also be used for video monitors and other accessories. Glove compartment can open freely.

The shift knob is held in by allen screws. All included when you buy from AUTOTOYS.COM inside the Momo package.

The momo shift knobs come with multiple adapters. Just insert the rubber adapter which fits your shifter (bottom of momo shift knob and adapter shown)

We wanted our shift knob to sit low, so we cut a hole in the adapter. This is NOT recommended. We wanted it this way. You do this modification at your own risk. It did work out great cuz the adapter threaded into the shifter rod.

Here it is, sitting low. Just tighten the screws and tighten the base.

This is the laser (360 degrees front and rear) for our custom mount Whistler 3300 radar detector (see our radar department)

Installed in the ash tray location. It folds up and can be heard even with radio on in the "retracted" position. This unit can provisions for a rear mount detector, a voice module, displays X, K, Ka, Outside temperature, Voltage of car and Laser. Safety mode is also a feature.
