In this article we are going to install an PANASONIC 600U AM/FM/CD radio in a CHRYSLER / DODGE MINIVAN.

The radio you see installed in this vehicle is the special DAY/NITE design in the 800u and 900U radios and any radio which says DAY/NITE PHASE design. It shows silver in the daytime and at night, it will illuminate with a blue behind the trim of the radio.

PRODUCTS USED: Chrysler Dash kit (see our DASH KIT department) - Search under 6501 for the dash kit, Chrysler Wire Harness (see our HARNESS department, part 1817 - search under 1817), Butt connectors (included free with all radio purchases or for sale in our TOOLS department), a little bit of electrical tape, 3M t-tap (in our tools department), Insulated male connector for t-tap (in our tools department under connectors)

Tools needed: 10mm bolt socket, wire crimpers (see our tools department), phillips head #2 screwdriver

Remove the 10mm bolts (2 of them) diagonally apart from each other to remove the factory radio.

One 10mm bolt grounds the factory radio. Remove it. We used a t-tap and a insulated male spade to connect the aftermarket Panasonic radio ground to this braided ground wire.

The connectors are available NOW in our TOOLS department (CONNECTORS SECTION)

Snap in our CHRYSLER DASH KIT (available in our DASH KIT department) and then reinstall the trim around the dash kit.

Secure the RADIO sleeve into the din dash kit opening, insert power connectors and antenna into back of radio.
