This article covers a AIWA CDC MP3 AM - FM - CD - CDR - CDRW - MP3 player in a Honda Accord. See radio department (SHOP NOW or http://www.autotoys.com/x/home.php) The kit used is our 828 universal honda kit (buy it here). It fit perfectly in this 5th Generation Honda Accord. The back of the kit has a support which is perfect for 1994-1997 Accords. It also has a nice pocket part of the one piece design. This kit is our favorite and will fit a majority of Hondas and Acuras. (to buy it now, see our DASH KIT department - SHOP now or http://www.autotoys.com/x/home.php) (SEARCH UNDER 828) The wire harness used is our 1720 Honda Harness (see DASH KIT DEPARTMENT also). It allowed a plug-in installation. This vehicle had a Sony Aftermarket radio in it which we were upgrading from. (SEARCH UNDER 1720) Installation time was under 1/2 hour.
This radio plays AM/FM/CD - CDRs and CDR-Ws when finalized. It will read the indexes of CDRs or CDR-Ws with MP3s on it and display all the information in a scrolling text display. The unit can hold as many songs as you can fit on a CDR or CDRw in MP3 format. On our test CD which we burnt just to test the unit in this installation, we had 193 songs on the CD and that was using only 500 megabytes of the CDR! The unit also comes with a steering wheel remote control (battery included) and an aux input mini microphone jack located on the front of the unit. This allows you to plug in walkmans and other devices from the front. The unit has preouts, high power 45 watts x 4 and has a very nice graphical spectrum display. We were upgrading from a Sony Cassette player. The 16 pin plug of the SONY radio plugged directly into the back of the Aiwa radio. On the other end of the radio plug was our 1720 Honda plug in harness which is available in our dash department. Why take any guesses, buy the parts that we have tested. We know it works!

Plug
the antenna wire and power harness into the back of the radio.
Slide the radio chassis into the radio sleeve. It locks into
place. Thats it!
