The following article shows an AUTOTOYS.COM installation of the OEM compatible Mercedes changer we have on sale in our storefront (OEM DEPARTMENT). It is a simple installation. No wires to run. It took less than 5 minutes for us to find the wire, and another 5 minutes to mount the changer. Total time spent: 10 minutes. Dollars saved over factory unit? = A few hundred dollars.
The car shown in this installation was a 1995.5 Mercedes S-Class with prewired changer controls.
A plug was removed on the driver side panel. The prewired changer cable was easily located behind the carpet.
The plug was easy to find. We then plugged in our AUTOTOYS Changer converter. The converters we use are of the best available, guaranteed to work and fit!
The cable was then fed through the factory hole in the carpet.
Our AUTOTOYS.COM converter then plugged into the 6 disc changer. No other wires to connect.
