Letter from Customer:
Gentleman,I installed your OEM MERCEDES changer in the extreme right rear corner of my MB 1998 SLK trunk. Itīs my understanding that the Dealer installation must be unbolted to gain access to the spare tire, auxiliary fuses and convertible hard top motor compartment. I installed the changer so that removal is
unnecessary. I used the floor base plates supplied, and mounted them to the side trunk panels. I was able to put washers and nuts on the top 2 base plate screws through the doors in the panels. The bottom 2 base plate screws are the sheet metal ones provided. To be sure they hold, I cut the plastic anchors shown in half because of the short depth behind the panel. I drilled the panel to accommodate the plastic anchors. The unit is mounted very firm and works perfect.
